I can’t thank you enough for the help and support in our sessions, it undoubtedly helped!
My waters broke under a full moon at 10pm on Saturday. I had a bath, and at 11:30pm my surges started, almost instantly at 3 minutes apart. Because I could talk through things via phone with the midwife, they told me to wait and come in the following day...2 hours later at 1:30pm my body started to push without me being able to help it. We got into a taxi and arrived at the Heath fully dilated. I had no idea! The midwife came to examine me, thinking I might need to go home, and when she did, the head was on full show. He was born within 30 minutes of arriving at the hospital with only two pushes in front of the midwife. I didn’t even know he had come out of me. My eyes were closed and I was still carrying on with my breathing. The midwife had to ask me to open my eyes twice, and when I did, he was being held up in front of me. I still can’t believe it. I’m not saying it was easy. Going through the surges and pushes at home was a challenge (as he was back to back so the pressure was all over) and it took a lot of focus and hard work, but...without a doubt, I couldn’t have done it without hypno birthing. The midwife said she’d never seen a birth like it and that when hypno birthing works, they have no idea how to read the regular signs of labour, because of the little fuss and control coming from the mother. If our taxi had been late, he would have been born at home! I only realise now, that I was in fact holding him in until we got to the hospital.
I just can’t believe it, and can’t thank you enough for the tools you gave me.
